TECNIS Odyssey™ IOL Multifocal Lenses
TECNIS Odyssey™ IOL is an advanced intraocular lens option designed to provide a full range of vision after cataract surgery. For many patients, the goal of cataract surgery is no longer limited to simply removing the cloudy natural lens. With today’s advanced lens technology, carefully selected patients may also be able to improve functional vision at distance, intermediate, and near ranges.
At Kosier Eye, we offer advanced lens options for patients who want to reduce their dependence on glasses after cataract surgery. TECNIS Odyssey™ IOL is designed to support clear, continuous vision across everyday activities such as driving, reading, using a computer, looking at a phone, watching television, and moving comfortably between different lighting conditions.
Unlike a basic monofocal lens, which is typically focused mainly for one distance, a multifocal or full-range intraocular lens is designed to provide a broader range of vision. This can be especially valuable for patients who want more freedom from readers, bifocals, or progressive glasses after cataract surgery.

Who May Be a Candidate?
Not every patient is a candidate for a multifocal or advanced intraocular lens. Candidacy depends on several factors, including the health of the eye, the presence of astigmatism, dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, corneal conditions, and the patient’s overall visual goals.
During your cataract evaluation, we will carefully examine your eyes, review your lifestyle needs, and discuss whether TECNIS Odyssey™ IOL or another lens option may be appropriate for you.
Personalized Lens Selection
Choosing the right lens implant is one of the most important decisions in cataract surgery. Some patients prioritize the clearest distance vision possible. Others want to reduce the need for glasses across multiple distances. Some patients may be better suited for a monofocal lens, toric lens, extended-depth lens, or multifocal lens depending on their eyes and expectations.
At Kosier Eye, our goal is to help each patient understand their options clearly so they can make an informed decision about their vision.
